Goa Shipyard Limited, a Public Sector Company under the Ministry of Defense, is presently engaged in the activities of designing and building special purpose modern sophisticated ships for the Navy , Coast Guard, Commercial and Export segment. The Company is looking for the following personnel.
Structural Fitter Fixed Term (for a period of 03 Year)
Age Limit : ST: 33 yrs,OBC: 31 yrs,UR: 28 yrs as on 31/07/2012
No. of Post & Reservation : 15 (ST-06, OBC-01, UR-08)
Qualification National Apprentice Certificate (NAC) in the trade of Structural Fitter or National Trade Certificate (ITI/NTC) in the trade of Fitter/Sheet Metal Worker.
Experience 02 years experience as a structural fitter in reputed shipbuilding industry or equivalent.
Scale Pay 6000-3%-16950 (W-3)

General
(a) Benefits for posts such as DA, HRA and other allowances as applicable to the grade as per rules.(b) Candidates having more experience in the relevant field and otherwise fulfilling the eligibility criteria may be considered for age relaxation at the discretion of the Management.(c) Candidates working in Govt. /Quasi Government/Public Sector Undertaking/ Autonomous Bodies must apply through proper channel or produce “No Objection Certificate” at the time of interview without which the candidates will not be interviewed.
(d) Management reserves the right to raise the eligibility criteria for short listing the applications.
(e) Outstation candidates qualifying the written test and called for the interview will be paid to and fro IInd sleeper rail fare by shortest route for interview only on production of proof of journey as per rules of the Company. However SC/ST candidates on being eligible for the written test and on appearing the same will be reimbursed to and fro IInd sleeper rail fare by shortest route from their usual place of residence to GSL only on production of proof of journey as per rules of the Company.
(f) The Govt. directives on reservation for SC/ST/OBC/ PWD/Ex-servicemen will be strictly followed.
(g) Interim enquiries will not be entertained.
(h) Applications from candidates not applying in the prescribed format of application shall be liable for rejection.
(i) Age & experience of the candidates may be relaxed, by CMD, for deserving cases depending on the requirement of the organization.
(j) Applications received after the last date shall not be considered.
(k) No applications shall be entertained through e-mail or any other electronic medium.
The number of posts may increase or decrease depending upon the requirement.
